I liked them so much that I just bought book 3 in the series and look forward to more stories by Michael Harvey. All of Harvey's stuff is great.
Chicago background and history woven in with contemporary politics make for interesting reading. You become interested in the characters and their relationships
Harvey paints great pictures, writing is fast paced. Hard to put down and clever, complex plots. Knowing Chicago well a plus!
Harvey is a terrific writer, and Michael Kelly is a terrific character. I recommend reading the entire Kelly series. Top drawer.
Great writer but he stole my last name!
Loved the story. Great style of writing, and a clever mix of POV. Helps you to relate to the main character while keeping track of what's going on elsewhere. The kinda writing you can relate to.

Can't put these down. I'm glad I finished reading this bundle because I need some sleep. Michael Harvey has developed the characters with a distinct flare for its intended purpose. The plots are surprising to the very end and leave you begging for more. No cliffhangers! These books are stand alone but, I always like to read the series from Book 1 to infinity as Mr. Harvey does tend to use recurring players. Can't wait for the next book or hopefully the next bundle.
